Issue is, fast forward for TV recordings is not working as it should, but only on speed X2 and X4.
When I fast forward recording time is fast forwarding fine, but picture dispayed on TV isn't. In short, if I use fast forward for cca 4 minutes picture is only fastforwarded for about cca. 30sec.

So when I press PLAY button I never end up on part picture is showing, I end up far far further then that into movie. (use this regullary when I'm skipping comercials on recorded material).

Not sure if I made my self clear, but if you have any questins ask. I can reproduce it any time I want.

Strage is that on regular video files (divx) it's working just fine.

Did you ever get an answer on this.

The reason I ask is that I have read elswhere that this was supposedly always a problem, but I have been using mediaportal for well over a year on my old Q6600, 6800gt, xonar, 1.0.2.0, xp based system and never noticed it. Now on my Windows 7 64 bit, i3-530, Integrated Grphics and Audio set up, its really really noticable.

Maybe it is a codec issue ? anyone?

Some codecs are better than others, but there is a problem in the internal player as well, chances are that will not be fixed as too big a project.

MP2 will not have this problem, along with all the other issues that MP1 video playback has, ie resizing on the fly with video playing, they should all end up a distant memory :)

    Thanks for yur input Ray.

Interestingly, having only just built my new HTPC, I only yesterday startded looking at optimising codecs and such. Having switched arouund between cyberlink, MPC, and Microsoft codecs, we actually felt Microsofts gave thebest pic on our system (never thougt I would hear myself say that............................. or maybe I should say, watch myself type that ?!?!? anyway...

The point was that we were only evaluating on picture quality, and i actual fact it was the codec we were using to start with, so we didnt even try FF etc with the other codecs.. they may have been better BUT id rather have a better picture than a functional FF RW.

Looking forward to Mediaportal 2 (as Im sure many are :D )
