faster switching of background images? (1 Viewer)

hi there,
i really like your plugin. but is it possible to load the fanarts in the background directly while switching a film in list view? in my case, the old fanart lasts for aboput 3 seconds, thats not really fine?

is there a way to make it faster?

In the Movingpictures conifg go to the About tab then click Advanced Settings then under Mediaportal GUI>Tweaks>Artwork Loading Delay

A lot of things are happening in the background as well, perhaps your system is just too slow, or you still suffer from extremly large backdrops that for some reason did not get resized.

Try adjusting the max values on backdrops in the advanced settings, set them to 1280x720 for example, upscaled to 1080p those will still look good, but they will load a lot faster.

RoChess:i'll try that. but in basichome-screen the backgrounds are loading very fast

tried that today! nothing changed.

other fanarts (e.g. in mytvseries) are loading very fast, just this ones do not

Compare your folders then, for Vista/Win7 they are as follows:

MP-TVSeries = "C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\thumbs\Fan Art\fanart\original", verify the average filesize, should be around 250kB

MovingPictures = "C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\thumbs\MovingPictures\Backdrops\FullSize", verify the average filesize, should be around 250kB
