I have an Onkyo TX515-AE PVR, whenever I am watching content that is DTS 5.1, my PVR will detect this signal and switch automatically. The issue is when I am fastforwarding or rewinding the DTS signal will drop in and out and my PVR will switch modes constantly. It causes mediaportal to rewind very slow and choppy as my PVR continues to renogiate this signal.
It may sound strange but I think the reason is that there is some kind of coding in mediaportal that attempts to play back little squabbles of audio as it attempts to rewind or fastforward. Kind of like your old VHS tapes. I have heard this phenomena before I had installed my PVR.
Can this sound be disabled so I can ff/rw like normal?
