Would it be possible to add a feature that allows to create groups or folders for movies. I have some movie series that have ten or so movies and I would really like to group them so that in main list there would be only one line for them. It would really help clean out the main view. Especially helpful this would be for movie series where movies have no consistent naming and they are displayed all over the main list.

EDIT: Never mind, installed the new version and there it is! :)

I exactly ask for the same feature ( and for the same reason ) in this thread,
The only way is manualy... with a big limitation, all the movies have to be in subfolders ...

I actually would like to have a view like "all movies", but with some movies grouped into one. Maybe there is some way to do this but after a bit of trying I could not figure it out. I would be perfectly happy with manual solution, but I would not like to rearrange my collection for this.

What you are probably looking for is the multi-part grouping. During the import stage, you can group files together which are considered a single movie then which are played in sequence (I use this for bonus/extras a lot, because most of my movies are single file).

You can view movie groups within the "Movie Manager" tab, by switching from "Movie Details" to "File Details" view.

Or just adjust the sort title, and movies will be grouped together as well. For example I renamed all the James Bond movies to be prefixed by "James Bond 01: Dr. No" as well as having seperate categories that only shows those type of grouped collections.

Possabilities are endless, you just have to put a little effort into some to get the result you want.

This sounds much like what I've been looking for. I just didn't realize to start fiddling with the sort titles.
I would still like it better if those grouped movies could be shown in one "folder".

I think what you are asking for is sub-categories within an existing category, which you could raise an enhancement request for then.

You are probably just used to MyVideos folder based system, and MovingPictures is database based. But the latter means that much more powerful combinations are possible, you just have to manually add some of those yourself, because not everything is included by default.
