Feature Request: System Tray/Taskbar recording indicator (1 Viewer)

I'd like to see some sort of recording indicator in either the system tray, the taskbar, or both. That way, I wouldn't be risking trying to view a video while a recording is underway which I fear could cause some sort of internal conflict. After all the trouble I had getting MP 1 up and running, that's a risk I simply do NOT want to take! (I'm running Windows 10 Home, 64-bit edition, BTW.)

This fear is unjustified. I know first-hand how much trouble you initially had with your setup. However your situation was definitely exceptional.
If you are that worried, put MP to the test. Set up a dummy recording for a program that you don't care about, view a video during the recording, then check the recording.

...But as mm said, you don't normally need to worry about doing other things on the PC while it's recording (other than serious OS updates or reboots). Playing video on the PC while it's recording is absolutely normal activity for an HTPC .
