Considering now all the focus is on the TV Server 3.5 I would like to ask is there possibility to add additional info to the EPG.

I have provided an example of Seinfeld episode OSD in WMC and in MediaPortal as you can see WMC has a lot more useful details like a name of the episode and whether it is a repeat.

Considering the data is already there it is a shame that is not being used. One of the great WMC feature is the series recording MediaPortal also has some great options but it can't be simpler than in WMC you press record button once it records the program press it again it records a series and third press to cancel it.

Series recording can be further adjusted in scheduled recordings like to record only new episodes. As you can see there is a tag to indicate that is a repeat <previously-shown start="20091226"/>. A new show doesn't use that tag as you can see it is missing from Persons Of Interest episode. Considering MediaPortal uses a database would this be hard to implement that this additional info gets displayed in the info screens.

    Hello Denny09

In your case, first thing that would have to happen is to add support for the "icetv" episode numbering format. Can't do anything without that. Do you have any documentation about the format? At first glance it doesn't look like a straight <season #>-<episode #> format.

    Hi mm,

That was a quick reply I wouldn't know but they offer support for many devices. I will create a topic in their forums and hopefully somebody will be able to answer.

    Thank you
