Few Problems I have Noticed with Media Portal (1 Viewer)

Hi there,

Here are a few problems I have noticed with Media Portal. I think they happen regardless of whether I am using SVN or not, but I know they definitely all occur on the latest SVN.

• When I watch a DVD and press the "Stop" button on my remote, the movie will start from the beginning.
  As soon as I press the stop button I get the prompt asking if I wish to resume from "x" point or not. I press no and the movie starts from the beginning.
  This happens every time.
  
  
• If I am listening to music and then go into the MyMusicVideos plugin and watch a music video, the music will stop and the video will play fine, but when the music video has ended, it will stay in video mode and continue playing the music (it comes out of video mode normally).
  When I then press the "back" button to get out of it", when I look at the now playing at the bottom of the screen, the tags are mixed between those of the music video and the ones from my actual music playing.
  
  
• Sometimes I have to press the standby button on my remote twice for it to go into standby - coming out of standby is fine everytime.
  
  
• Sometimes it doesn't go into standby at all however many times i press the button

I cannot reproduce any of these problems on my system, so they must have something to do with your particular setup.

For issue 1, can you go through the steps to reproduce the problem and then attach the resulting MediaPortal.log file - that might provide a clue as to the cause?

I would suggest that the last 2 issues have nothing to do with MediaPortal, but are related to how your PC is set up to go into Standby mode. Do you have another application running that might be preventing the PC from entering standby mode?

Issue 1 has been a bug some time ago, but I guess it has been fixed.

I had a feeling the last two issues where something to do with my PC.

For the "DVD stop" problem, could you try it again, but use the default BlueTwo skin in full-screen mode and select the MediaPortal supplied decoders (MPV and MPA, and DScaler), and see if the problem still occurs?

For the "Standby" issue, does the same problem occur if you close MediaPortal before you try to put the PC to standby?

Re the Standby issue I realized some time ago that my HTPC won't go into standby if the TV is still running. The simple solution is to go back to Home and always press "Stop" before standby.
