I later learned that the version of FFDShow I was using, 3094, was a Beta version and may not have been fully compatible with MP. I switched to an earlier release of FFDShow which managed to work fine. So I might suggest try one of the stable releases of FFDShow.In the end I chucked it all away as FFDShow was actually more trouble than it's worth. And the image quality or smoothness of the decoding was lackluster to say the least.</blockquote>
