ffdshow reduces fps to 24/25 (as opposed to 50fps without)

Once I attach ffdshow, this drops to 24/25fps. it will never go above this.</p><p>It is not a CPU issue, as there is plenty of headroom. It seems to be a ffdshow specific thing.</p><p></p><p>Anyone else get this? any ideas? With TV broadcast at 30fps in the UK its quite noticable that things are exactly perfect</p></blockquote><p></p>
