FFDshow vs. coreAVC (render quality) (1 Viewer)

Hi Community,
have anybody render quality different between ffdshow and coreAVC observed?

I have compared ffdshow (latest Version) with defaults vs. coreAVC (2.0 cuda mode) with defaults and 1080p content.
i mean the ffdshow lock bether.
Has someone similar experiences?

Hi there,

I have never used CoreAVC, but I do know you can do some amazing things with FFDShow (when you start playing with Avisynth, etc)

I believe, one of the current main differences is that with the CUDA support, it is hardware based, where as at present with FFDshow it is software (CPU) based.

windows 7 comes with x264 and mpeg-2 codecs pre-installed.

Yes I know but I asked what do you think the quality of the w7 codec? What is the better (w7, ffdshow, coreavec) if gpu decoding is not importing?

AFAIK: historically coreavc has been the worst quality wise.
