I have my video files stored on a remote NAS server, which is connected to my HTPC via WLAN. On the HTPC, a drive letter is assigned to the NAS share, and in MP configuration this drive letter is added as a second path for video files (first one being the local drive). Windows is set to restore the network connection automatically on startup. Watching videos from the NAS works flawlessly, even for HD.

When I cold boot the HTPC, start MP, go to My Videos and open the NAS path, no files are displayed. In order to get them listed, I have to open the NAS path in Windows Explorer once prior to starting MP. This is not very convenient, as I want to autostart MP when booting the HTPC.

One possible solution would be to use a Windows startup skript that opens the NAS share automatically. But in case the NAS isn't running permanently (or is turned on after the HTPC) this fails. In my view, MP should retreive the actual file list every time a specific path is selected.

Is there any way how to achieve this in MP?
    Alternative ideas?

    Thanks a lot for help!

YES - This is what I was looking for. THX a lot.
After entering the full network path I get the file list as desired. Takes some time in case the NAS is down to return to the previous menu, but I can live with that.

    Thank you.
