On the HTPC, a drive letter is assigned to the NAS share, and in MP configuration this drive letter is added as a second path for video files (first one being the local drive). Windows is set to restore the network connection automatically on startup. Watching videos from the NAS works flawlessly, even for HD.</p><p></p><p>When I cold boot the HTPC, start MP, go to My Videos and open the NAS path, no files are displayed. In order to get them listed, I have to open the NAS path in Windows Explorer once prior to starting MP. This is not very convenient, as I want to autostart MP when booting the HTPC.</p><p></p><p>One possible solution would be to use a Windows startup skript that opens the NAS share automatically. But in case the NAS isn't running permanently (or is turned on after the HTPC) this fails.
