[file system] long load time (33sec.) for long/big directory (1 Viewer)

Hi have to say 0.2 release is great

But was hoping that it would fix a little problem i have whit load time of my film directory.

My film dir. is radder big, +/- 400 folders and 400 files, so the list is a bout 800 lines ore 57 pages in MP, and still growing

The thing is when i go in a sub folder in my film dir and wane go back to the main dir, it takes 33 seconds of load time of the main dir again.

This makes the use of HD based media center a bit useless.
Then its faster to pickup a dvd and put it in the dvd player then searching true my HD.

The same thing happens on the XBMC to and it was one of the main reasons i went over to a HTPC.

Win MCE dose not have this behavior so its a sort of bug in MP.
Also when i use total-commander then dir loads also instantly.

Hi just a question then.

Because i was seeing this as a bug, but after the overwhelming response from developers i have to conclude its not a bug ?

But is there then something i can do to get this load time of the dir down.

Because i only see this behavior in MP and not for example in explorer ore whit Total-commander.
