Hello i,am new here and first of all i wanna thanks the builders for this great mediaportal.
But i have a problem.:confused::confused::confused:
Mine comp is a win vista 64 with 2 firedtv-c tuners on it with ziggo cards with the latest drivers.
When i configure them in TV server confugaration the TV server find them both and he find also all the channels.
I,am scanning on country The Neterlands casema the frequensy is on 163000 the modulation is on 64 QAM and the Symbolrate is on 6875.
But i only can see one the rest is scrambled. I have tried a couple of things and search for day`s but i still haven`t found the solution.
When i start mine tv server and go to TV-Servers /name and i go to edith when i put on cam setup he still find the channels but then i also have no EPG.
So i hope someone can and will help me with this iproblem.
And i,am :sorry: for the wrong words or senses but i,am dutch

Hi,
i have struggled with this as well a few weeks ago. The problem is that the list you are using from MP (Netherlands-Casema), is probably out of date.
You will have to make an up-to-date list yourself. I have used this forum thread to find out the frequencies for my region.
FireDTV & FloppyDTV :: Bekijk onderwerp - Transponderlijsten van Ziggo

Go into the location on your pc, where all the transponder lists are, and open for instance netherlands-casema. Immediately save it under a new name (for instance: Ziggo). Now you edit the file with the frequencies you find on the above mentioned forum.

This worked fine for me :)

Perhaps you can ask a question about this here:
FireDTV & FloppyDTV :: Bekijk forum - Transponder lijsten

Or do a search first to see if some1 else already asked this.
thanks but i search for it and it is asked before but i can.t find it the right one
the only one that i can find is for firedtv but in mine register it stops by firedtv there are no more maps there so i can,t try it out

Thanks Henk99 for responding but i live in Utrecht and that file is not there do you have any idea how i get one

What was your cable company before it went over to Ziggo? Was it Multikabel in the past?

Yes, that's it. Just copy one of the netherlands files and give it a new name and then edit it with the right frequencies...when you find them ;)
I can't help you with the correct file, as I am not in the same area.

thanks again i keep on looking

I have tried this FireDTV & FloppyDTV :: Bekijk onderwerp - Transponderlijst Casema 2008 voor MediaPortal

.../team mediaportal/MediaPortal Tv server.

Nu kun je in de TV Server configuration onder je Fire/Floppy DTV kaart scannen met de .dvbc gekozen...

    With this list:

    Digitale Kabeltelevisie - Zenderindeling Casema-Multikabel

You should be able to make your own list.

Just open the Multikabel Netherlands.dvbc file in Notepad, and modify it with the numbers you find in the list above.. be carefull every space, comma, dot and tab should be at the right place. (I have been searching for a bug for hours, when I accidently replaced a comma with a dot..) Save it as Utrecht.dvbc in the Tuningparameters directory.

Now go into the SQL Managing software and delete your current TV server database

Open Tv Server setup en rescan with "Utrecht".. A new database is built now. If you did everything correctly, it should be working now.

TIP: In the forum of FireDTV.nl - Home you can ask for help as well, you can speak dutch there, makes it a bit easier maybe to explain your problem, actually a lot of mediaportal users there as well, so you be sure your problem is recognized.

That is an old list, from before it went over to Ziggo.. You can modify this one to be compattible with the list that is shown in 'digitalekabeltelevisie' website

I advise you to read some wiki's here about configuring TV server, because you must delete the current SQL database first to prevent double entries and such. Note that if you use Vista you must open the SQL managing software as Administrator, otherwise it will not let you delete the database... How this has to be done, see the Wiki's on the mediaportal website, there are several types of SQL managing software you an use so , a bit difficult to explain here how to do that.

To scan, open TV server configuration (there must be an icon for this on your desktop), click + before TV server, and then again + before the computer name (which is the server) and then select the firedtv card you want to scan, in the panel on the right select the dvbc file from the drop down list and start the scan.

I know it is a bit of figuring out how to do things, but once you know you will see it is quite easy.

    Lots

And i think the easiest way for doing this I advise you to read some wiki's here about configuring TV server, because you must delete the current SQL database first to prevent double entries and such. How this has to be done, see the Wiki's on the mediaportal website, there are several types of SQL managing software you an use so , a bit difficult to explain here how to do that. is delete evrything install erything again and put mine new dvbc file in the right map and then configure TV server configuration
