Well I'm glad you see improvement. Regarding sharpening and level correction you should be able to set/change
this inside the CCC. However, I know ATI drivers are far from perfect so certain cards and driver versions does not
have these settings available in the CCC. So in that case you still can set this via registry - google for settings.
In my case I have turned up the sharpening on my TV and I have a level expansion setting (to expand to PC levels
0-255) in registry for my HD2600 XT xard. The setting on my card for this is "UseBT601CSC=1" REG_SZ. Here is a
good guide on AVSForum for HD2xxx based cards - I don't know if these settings works for your card though:
