I've just got a new TV Server running on Windows 7 with a Windows 7 client. It was taking between 15 and 20 seconds to get into the TV menu from the main menu. I'd configured the firewall on the server to allow all connections to the SQLServer service and the SQLBrowser service. So, it was getting through okay.
I got a bit fed up with things being so slow to connect, so in desperation I just turned off the firewall on the server. Now it's less than a second to get in to the TV menu.
So, are there any other ports I should have opened up?
Thanks.
