Firewall Nightmare.....have tried WIKI settings! (1 Viewer)

OK....found the suggested Firewall settings....and entered them using elevated command.
These were :

netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name =TvService dir=in action=allow program="%programfiles(x86)%\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\TvService.exe" enable=yes

........MP runs...but suggests that ports are still blocked...and TV won't function

Switching off both Firewall...and Anti virus (COMODO) doesn't help.

(BTW......Does COMODO need a similar set of instructions to allow MP to function?)

I have attached TV Server log files and would really appreciate some help.

    Well it looks like the TV service is running fine.

    Switching off both Firewall...and Anti virus (COMODO) doesn't help.

    If COMODO has a firewall component then yes.

    I have attached TV Server log files and would really appreciate some help.
    The TV Server [back end] log files tell us nothing about problems with MediaPortal [the front end].
    Please post full log files using the watchdog tool:

    Watchdog crashes/halts
    And the error is...?

    no files/logs are produced
    So you have absolutely zero MP log files?
    If the watchdog is crashing that is one thing, but usually there are always log files on the file system.
    Open MP configuration, click the drop down arrow in the top left corner, select user log files... and there should be log files.

    User config files....drops down to Open Log Directory.....but this won't open.

    Error is an unhandled exception...
