Okay, for the 47 "Unknown..." channels, the logs are telling me the scan didn't have enough time to get all the information it wanted.
    [2014-07-16 21:16:20,320] [Log ] [31 ] [INFO ] - DRI: existing table version, unseen section count = 1

To fix that you'd have to delete all channels (TV Server doesn't update names of existing channels), bump the SDT/VCT timeout up a bit, then scan again. Up to you whether you decide to do that. The scan seems to have been complete and successful in all other respects.

    One other thing...
I see you're getting some errors trying to timeshift/test various channels. For MediaPortal to be able to receive a channel it must be marked as "copy freely". To see the channels you can get in MediaPortal you can load the following link in your internet browser:
    http://<PRIME IP address>/lineup.xml?show=unprotected

To see all channels in your lineup:
    http://<PRIME IP address>/lineup.xml?show=all

The channels that are in the "all" list but not in the "unprotected" list are the ones you can't get in MediaPortal.

I note that this restriction applies to almost all PC software - N-PVR, MythTV, SageTV etc. Only WMC currently enables you to get "copy once" channels.

All set on the channel numbers and order now, thanks! I also turned the firewall back on just to test and it's causing the client to error when trying to turn on the TV. I'm still trying to hunt down what is being blocked that is causing the problem, but this is definitely the firewall.

I hadn't got to the timeshifting stuff yet but I was concerned about the DRM flags, I'll check that out. I'm going to rescan with a higher timeout now.

It is UDP traffic on ephemeral ports.
In the case of scanning that's the tuner sending events to TV Server.
In the case of timeshifting and recording that's the video and audio streaming traffic.

I forget exactly what the terms are on W7 (I use XP). Something about TvService.exe requiring private and public access I think.

Got it, I had to manually add the exception for TvService.exe. I'm going to have to play around and tweak all of the settings to get everything just right so I may have questions later, but I'm done for the night. Thanks for all of the help, truly appreciated.
