Re : Fix for stuttering/corrupted streaming of live tv

in log.zip, open streamingServer.log and at 08-03-2011 11:49:14.243 you could see the problem.

At this time, liveTv freeze, and at 08-03-2011 11:50:06.448, I back 15 seconds and liveTV restart.

I an a new user so appologies if I am using this forum incorrectly. I have just installed and set up MP and a satellite TV service all working well. I do get stutter on streamed media and TV or stopping for a while. Are these patches suitable for the latest release version 1.1.3 or are there other things I should be altering or adding?
    Thank for any replies

Since these patches are already included in the MediaPortal source code your best option is to try out if you still have the problems with the already released 1.2 alpha or wait for the beta to come out...

    Hi,

Sorry for taking so long to reply.

I've only had time to take a brief look at your logs:

    Code:

I think streaming server is timing out waiting for the next chunk of data to be available (it assumes it's at the end of the file when this happens). From the log it looks like the calculated duration of the buffer file doesn't increase for nearly 30 seconds and then suddenly jumps to what it should be. Bit puzzled how this could happen.

    Does it happen frequently?
On all channels or just some?
    Is recorded TV playback ok?

    Hello Fredrik,
    yes you can. :)
I use currently the fix V3 (https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...-tv-streamingdiskiofix-v3-binaries-1.1.2-.zip) together with MediaPortal version 1.1.3.
It works fine on my System.

    Regards

    Edit:
The MP 1.1.3 included a little hotfix of 1.1.2 and is only necessary for Windows 7 SP1. See here.
The main functionality seems not be changed.

    Hi, thanks for reply !

Yes, it happen very frequently, on all DVB-S channels (especially with HD channels). No problem with DVB-T channels.

Sometimes, back 15 seconds and skip to end work, sometimes no. I stop and restart live tv and it's work.

Recorded TV playback is ok, no problems, it's only on live TV.

Perhaps I have to change Timeshifting values ?

    Minimum : 6 files
    Maximum 20 files
    Filesize : 256 MB
Wait for unscrambled : 5 sec
Wait for timeshifting file : 15 sec

    Thanks !

I have the same problem like described here.
If i go back 15 seconds the problem is gone. Any solution for this problem now.
