Before a new weekly night build will be published I'd like to advert that the fix 1703 introduced with svn 20480 breaks the recording function!

Just switch TV on and record some seconds. At first sight Mediaportal behaves normal and pretends to record - but there are actually no TS-files written, only the xml-file can be seen in the recording directory.

Disabling this changes from 20480 (I have done this with TurtoiseSVN) the recording works normal again.

Just try it and see for yourself. ;)

    Thanks for the heads up.

    Grab latest from SVN and retry :)

    Hi! With this new fix I can record again - but there is another problem:

    1) Start TV
    2) Press Record
    3) Switch to another channel from the same transponder
    4) Press Record

    The TVServer crashes f I want to record a second channel from the same transponder. Mediaportal freezes.

    I cant seem to repro that one.

    ex.

    Transponder1;
    ChA
    ChB

    I enter myTV, start timeshifting ChA.
    Record ChA.
    Changes channel to ChB, which starts timeshfiting.
    Then record ChB.

    .ts files are generated on the defined server location for both recordings.

    can u repro 100% each time ?
    logs ?

    It happens more randomly - (tested for 10 minutes and had 3 freezes). It does not happen if I install the present svn without the fix.
    I only tested free to air-channels.

    Hi,
    Not able to reproduce here either, recording 2(watch one of them) works fine.

    looking at your logs it seems u get a lot of;

    "PROBLEM : descriptor lengths dont match 6 9" entries.

    Are these present without the patch ?
    Also can I have the logs without the patch as comparison ?

    These are pretty common on my side as well. Gemx told me once not to worry about that...

    Here. I recorded six programs from one transponder at the same time with the present svn and without the patch - no problem, no freezes.

    Yep, perfectly normal to have those. Looks like some broadcasters arent not so strict on the data they send... not a big news :)
