I have few issues with FM radio (Avermedia A827 with SW ATI encoder):
    1) FM radio is mono instead of stereo
    2) FM radio sound has after few minutes deaf gaps (CPU is running on 9% only during SW encoding, no antivir running) than no sound any more
    3) FM radio station start up takes 10-15 secs
    4) FM radio station change takes up to 10 secs

Due to software encoder and/or broadcast signal. Nothing we can do.

Due to software encoder and/or live555 compatibility. Nothing we can do about software encoders (that's why we don't provide support for tuners that require them). live555 is removed from analog stream processing in TVE 3.5. This may or may not improve the situation.

    3) FM radio station start up takes 10-15 secs
    Fixed in TVE 3.5.

    4) FM radio station change takes up to 10 secs
As above. Fixed in TVE 3.5.

I see the reason for not to support cards with sw encoders, on other hand it is difficult to find and buy nowadays any TV card with FM radio which has HW mpeg encoder - I found out just 2-3 types.
Still there are ~70% radio stations in FM band not available in DBV-T/C band - I think the FM is still important device:)
If MP needs audio in mpeg format, is there any advantage from this? In case of MCE as fas as I know tha audio signal goes directly into the sound card without any mpeg conversion - I guess from behaviour(n)

That is because it is cheaper for the manufacturer.

TsReader and TsWriter only supports the TS format. If the stream is not in that format then we can't process it (ie. no timeshifting, recording).

I see the point to keep timeshift and recording available.

In case of FM card with HW encoder, do you think it will not have "deaf sound gaps" issue in case of MP1?

    I can't make any guarantee.
