Thanks! We'll see how true to the original the MP version comes out. The differences between MP and XBMC as far as skinning goes are vast ;-)

:D

Its great to see that someone is porting Focus. Its one of my favorite skins for XBMC. What I particulary like about it is that you can change it to fit your needs. Since the text is white colored transparent it changes as you change the backgrounds. I changed to a brown color to match my wall behind the TV. The only thing that i could complain about is the color on blue top bar, which doesnt fit in with the blue color on the standard background.
I will definetly use this skin :)

Thanks alot Andy! Keep up the good work :)

    Hi Andy.

Has the skinnable keyboard gotten any attention from the devs? It looks so COOL!

    pilehave -

I believe my skin engine changes will get into the next release. I have all my changes on a private branch and some are helping with testing. No major issues as far as I know. I just need to figure out the formal process for getting my changes into the trunk. Thanks for interest and support! :D

    Hi all -

Just to let you know - I am still working on this skin. Since the skin engine is fairly restrictive on what you can do I have been modifying the MP1 source to provide the support and flexibility I'd like to see. I post all of my changes in SVN in the ajp_stage branch (I try to keep this branch updated with changes from the trunk).

I have updated the tv guide screen shot in the first post (click here to see updated guide). This is an actual render of the guide using my changes in ajp_stage. Notice the HD program icons; there are other usability features included as well such as a continuous scrolling of the guide from the last channel to the first and first to last. The guide also makes use of a new feature I added to the image control called "tileFill". With this feature you can specify a texture to tile fill the image rectangle rather than stretch to fill the rectangle. This allows the guide button with the record indicator (red dot) to have a patterned background (which I like) and to have it rendered properly no matter the width of the button (tile fill vs. stretch fill).

It's going slow but coming along nicely, I think.

Thanks for the kind words all...

I just wanted to say that I appreciate all the new features you hopefully can add to MediaPortal :)

Such a small thing as being able to scroll from bottom to top in the EPG is just sweet, I can't believe this has not been fixed before!

Do you plan to add the Red - Green - Yellow - Blue buttons to all of your screens? They are used in other apps such as DVBViewer and I think they are really useful as shortcuts. At least for remote control users ;)

 TVGuide looks awesome, very grateful for your work. Can I ask how you got the HD pin to show? Are you using information provided by DVB EPG or meta-data within XMLTV?

By using 'For the Record' and an XMLTV grabber I have been able to produce the same thing within the EPG, I'll attach a screenshot below later...
