Apparently some text imported from external sources, such as lyrics databases or music brainz info, contains characters that are undefined in some way.
My text editor says the text contains chars which "cannot be represented in the file's character set." Here is the text as (properly) handled by Chrome. The language is Hawaiian, I think.
Israel Kamakawiwoʻole
I have a case where the text is displayed in a font which is not present in the fonts.xml file of the theme, but is defined in the fonts file of the default theme. This is interesting because the window's xml file defined the control to use one font, and it displays correctly in another. I assume it would not display correctly in the chosen font.
EDIT: There is also an anomaly in the Album Artist list for this guy. The name is listed twice. The first one contains no items. The second is bolded and has items.
EDIT2: There was fanart downloaded which is not being displayed via fanart.
