Suggestions where possible...

After scrolling through 50 or so CD albums (filmstrip view), and then racing back to the right, it would be nice if when I hit the first album it stopped, and required a new key press. Launching up into the above menu isn't intuitive, it should stop like when I hit the end.

The "now playing" screen. The CD album cover should have the reflection because, well it's cool. I'm wondering too about burn in... If I was running this on a plasma at a party, I might screw up my TV after 6 hours of playlisting. Maybe have the screen dim to black, and only show the cover (at either left of right), and only show the track/album/artist info the first & last 10 seconds.

The filmstrip views for ALBUMS looks absolutely insane.

Filmstrip view...

I have a 50" TV, and the albums look fantastic. A little bigger wouldn't hurt ON THE HIGHLIGHTED album... Unless it detracted from the detail.

I've seen 17 "hacked" Apple TVs go by me in the last 2 weeks.

This skin could sway a lot of people into using MP. Keep up the good work!

Video Playlist

Love this skin.

Question: When I play a video playlist, I cant get to the screen with the playlist content and additional buttons like shuffle. In bluetwo I can get to that screen, but not in this great skin. Any suggestions?

i use the vertical menu and i have the large top bar i'd like to get rid of it or have it auto hide.
can you tell me how?

I'm going to be the guy with the other opinion on the 1.07 release. I have to say I liked the style of 1.06 better.
I found it cleaner and my main reason is I use list views for music and videos. With the old version you could see more file displayed (longer list) on the screen at once.
My main reason from switching to MP from MCE was the list views.

I agree : 1.06 like better for me! for now i back to blue...

I would agree to that too.

Older versions looked cleaner and were better to use. If one goal of 1.07 was to make better use of 16:9 screens, in my eyes this goal was clearly missed. And I don't think this is just a matter of personal taste.

- less items visible in list views
- many functions hidden in sub-menus for no apparent reason
- less programs visible in epg-view
- not as clean looking as before
...

In German there is a (kind of unofficial) word called "Verschlimmbesserung", meaning worsening something by trying to make it better. To me it seems this is exactly what happened here.

Not to be misunderstood: I really appreciate the work of the guy(s) behind this (so far really great) skin, but sometimes even the best intentions lead to wrong inventions...

I will look at the video playlist section... I think currently the code is wrong, so I will bring it in line with bluetwo.

If you want to remove the topbar in the home screens you need to edit myhome.xml you will need to look through for the buttons and delete them all.. ie

by deleting this will remove the shutdown button...

This will be the same for the plugins skreen as well "myhomeplugins.xml"

I think you are absolutely right about the playing now button... use it all the time as well.. so I will move it to a more prominant place... as well as fix some of the bugs and graphics on the playing now screen...

I plan to have a look at list views to fit more content on screen.

Also a bigger filmstrip view... maybe 5 items on a page..
