Strange, what is stored in your settingsfile ? C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Mediaportal.xml
Maybe some invalid setting stored there ?

Tried to reinstall fortherecord, no luck, same issue. I cannot see recordings.

1) install 4tr 1.3.3.3
2) Extract binaries for 1.0.1
3) Extract tvplugin for 1.0.2

I need a way to record all programmes which name is X. And would also prefer to have some
possibilities to define which channels to record. I suppose this cannot be done with plain
MediaPortal? (I installed 4tr almost immediately so not sure whats plain MediaPortal )

Is there any other plugin providing similar functionality as 4tr?

Just a check here, no displayed recordings would point to an out of date skin file - what version of MP did you have when it last worked and what skin are you using?

MP ~1.0.1. Some SVN release.
StreamedMP as a skin, latest version.

Try the 4TR_recordedTv.xml from here

I am using the latest StreamedMP build and the beta 4tr and all works fine, not 100% sure what the problem could be here. Have you checked by using B3Wide?

So we are looking at a skin issue then, are you using the current 0.8.448 release from here, this is working ok for me and I guess most.

If you are using that version will heave to look deeper.

Ah...had not thought that would have made into the released skin quiet yet, would explain the problem. I only uploaded that version for the benefit of beta testers...and was still WIP, though now have working FTR 1.4 skin files for StreamedMP.

Hi all.

I'm trying to set up a 4tr client (I have used 4tr on my server for about 2 months or so) but can't get it to work with the client.
How do I enter the correct values to make my client connect to the server? Obviously "localhost" isn't correct, but when I enter the computer name where the 4tr server is located I get an error message (see attachment image below).

try the IP address instead or an URL if you have on (that is DNS servers have your IP listed)
You could also do stuff with the windows host file but the IP is the easiest
