A little clarification... ;)

I've only an analog tv card, so I'm using WebEPG to grab the TV Guide from the web.
Until now I've set up a scheduled batch script to copy the xml file from MediaPortal to the TVScheduler folder.

With the new EPG sync feature I expect TVScheduler to automatically get the EPG from the TVServer db...

I'm missing something ?

Yes, I think you are. :)

...if you rely on DVB-EPG, turn the option in TVE3 on so it will grab this data, and then also turn the setting on in my plugin to copy over the data once more to TvScheduler.

Currently that's the only supported scenario.
(My emphasis).

When creating a schedule I can search for Title, Episode title, Episode number and Description. I think it's not entirely clear what happens if more than one is used. I had to check and it looks like if I want to search and record all programs with a keyword in Title OR Description two different Schedules are needed.

Could there be an easy way to choose between OR/AND for the four search criterias?

The reason this has not been made possible is rather straighforward: to keep the concept simple and to avoid confusion all rules are always AND-ed together. It's quite easy to create multiple schedules to do what you want and IMHO there's no reason to make a single schedule over-complicated when there is a clear and simple alternative.

It's just a matter of getting used to the way TvScheduler works, and then I think you'll find you'll have a much better overview too with using multiple schedules for things you want to "OR". I hope you agree :)

How do get rid of duplicate channels ?

In management console :
I deleted all guide data and all channels.

Disabled the sync TVE3 EPG to TvScheduler (not sure about this)

I generated a fresh WebEPG and imported it

Duplicate channels are then back in the management console.

Sounds like that should have done the trick. Unless the TVE3 syncing was not disabled after all.

Before you imported the new guide you were sure nothing was listed in the Channels panel?

Yes, nothing listed in Channels Panel.

I have done it twice now same each time.

But in the TvSchedulerSync plugin the duplicate or second set is still listed but not linked.
I do not know how or if they should be removed here.

Do you have some SQL knowledge, meaning, can you look in the SQL database after deleting the channels if they are still in the TvChannel table?

I have looked at the table and the channels are still there.

I am an idiot I have forgotten to save again !!! that button just seems to hide itself at the bottom.

Might I suggest a delete all button and a save/cancel message box if changes are made.

Okay, glad to hear there's a simple explanation ;-) Not a bad idea to keep a "dirty" state somewhere and inform the user when he presses Cancel that there are unsaved changes.
