After a reboot it works again. Will see if I can reproduce the error and if so report back here.

2nd issue: Seems not to sync my TVE3-EPG. Tried disabling/enabling the plugin several times. Dont get any new data.

BTW: How do i get to DebugView?

EDIT: Doing a clean install now...maybe it helps.

Well I could get the full EPG to import to TvS, so I switched to XMLTV.
I deleted all the channels and guide data from TvS and them started the first import. Seemed to work (Imported dir and file moved) but when I went to the management console it gave me errors on the database.
So I deleted the database, reinstalled TvS and now I'm back to square 1 - I can't get the TvS service to start anymore.

    Log:
    12/8/2007 8:10:21 PM [Information][TvScheduler]: Starting service.
12/8/2007 8:10:21 PM [Information][TvScheduler]: Starting WCF service hosts.
12/8/2007 8:10:21 PM [Information][TvScheduler]: Starting XMLTV import thread.
    12/8/2007 8:10:21 PM [Information][XMLTV Import]: Thread started.
    12/8/2007 8:10:21 PM [Information][TvScheduler]: Service started.
12/8/2007 8:10:21 PM [Error][TvScheduler]: The event log file is full
12/8/2007 8:10:26 PM [Information][XMLTV Import]: Deleting old guide programs.
12/8/2007 8:10:26 PM [Information][XMLTV Import]: Importing new guide file 'xmltv.xml'.

    What log file is full?

Seems the event log filling up is a problem some of you have had to deal with. I wonder what is filling up the event log... TvScheduler is only writing to it on startup/shutdown and when a low-level error occurs, so is something else in your systems overflowing the event log?

Anyway, it's indeed a good idea to change the setting to allow the events to be overwritten!

Well I could get the full EPG to import to TvS, so I switched to XMLTV.

I had a look at the EPG syncing, but it works just fine for me, at least with the manual programs I entered into the database (I don't have real EPG data).

However, I did recompile everything locally with the latest MediaPortal assemblies. Is it possible that you upgraded your TVE3 installation, and only then the syncing stopped working?

The next release I upload will have a plugin compiled against the latest TVE3 assemblies in any case, so please do re-test with that one.

    [size=+1]UPDATE ALERT[/size]

I just uploaded a new release! A first version of the web frontend is included this time. Not everything is done yet, but it should be quite functional already.

I have tested this basically with IE7 and a little bit with FireFox, but nothing else, so it will be interesting to hear feedback about possible browser issues.

In any case, browser issues, bugs, or not, do let me know what you think and if you have improvement ideas, they are of course always welcome!

    Release 1.0.0.9 (December 11th, 2007)

    Changes since the previous release:

    • Major new feature: TV Scheduler Web Access, a web-based frontend to view/edit your scheduled programs remotely.
    • New rules to only record unique titles. Useful when recording movies with a certain actor e.g.
    • In the management console, it's now possible to view and edit the history of recorded programs attached to a schedule (the list used to skip previously recorded episodes/titles).
    • Bug fix: the query for DaysOfWeek on SQL Express now takes the DATEFIRST setting into account.
PS: if you are using the TVE3 plugin, stop the TVService or disable the plugin, install new TV Scheduler, copy over the new TVE3 plugin DLLs, and then restart TVService or re-enable the plugin.

When installing a new version, should I un-install the previous versions?

The database, wil it get deleted, because there's no funtion to export the schedules?
