I'm not sure if this is a bug or a feature, for you to decide

I use TV Scheduler with two different TV3E servers, one local and one on the network. When I change the server to connect to from within TVScheduler it won't immediatly reflect the new data, i.e. the schedule and recordings. I have to exit TVScheduler and restart again, now it collects data from the proper server.

Not a big deal but a little confusing if you have similar schedules/recordings on both servers.

I'm a bit confused by your explanation to be honest. Are you talking about the TVE3 plugin too, or just TV Scheduler? TV Scheduler never connects to TVE3 anyway, so how can it be confused by two TVE3 servers?

Is it the other way around? You want your TVE3 plugin to connect to a different TV Scheduler service?

No it's "your" login screen that keeps coming back. But yeah, I have to log in if I just want to "go right" in the program guide

Then it sounds like your IIS is not keeping its session. This is the most likely reason it "forgets" you are logged in.

Just wanted to let you know what was causing the issue. It was user-related, because it was my fault I wasn't using the right user name. Actually, I had totally managed to not see that one should set one in the web.config. Odd that the login doesn't report a "faulty user name or password" though!

Maybe also mention something about the user name in the OP?
Now it says

After installation you will have to edit the Web.config in C:\inetput\wwwroot\TvScheduler.WebAccess to provide a password.

and maybe just a small mention of the user name (or that the default is admin or so) would make certain people didn't miss that specific detail like I did?

I get some other error when trying to make a schedule via the web interface now, but I haven't debugged it / looked at logs etc or anything yet, I'll get back to you if I have to

My apology if my description was somewhat confusing. Hopefully this will explain in more detail:

- I have two different machines running TV3E
- One of the machines is local (used to run MediaPortal and sits in the livingroom) the other is remote (in my study and used for other games etc)
- The reason for having two servers is that I have two different TVcards that goes well with one PC and not the other
- On both machines I run TVScheduler and have a recording schedule defined
- From the PC in the livingroom I can decide which TV3E server to use (depending on the channels I am interested in), and hence also which EPG and recordings (from TVScheduler) that will be displayed in MP
- Also inside MP I have a shortcut to start TVScheduler GUI to manage schedules

Now, ultimately it would be nice if the TVScheduler shortcut in MP knew which TV3E server that was being used and changed the setting for the TVScheduler which SQL server to connect to. Since that is not possible (as far as I know) I manually change the server to connect to from inside the TVScheduler GUI.

And once I have changed the IP address of the TV3E/SQL-server to connect to I have to shutdown the TVScheduler GUI and restart for the settings to have any effect.

I hope this helped... The essence is in the last sentence above, i.e. have to restart to connect to another SQL-server.

Wouldn't it be much easier to redo your setup with only one TV Scheduler installed? Then run only the TVE3 plugin twice, and since that will only map the channels it recognizes all will automatically be ok, no?

Or am I missing something?

Single seat installation provides faster channel change times as the streaming will cause some overhead.
