Hi. The wrong format of foreign characters is due to the bad format of some of the lyrics sites that the plugin uses as source. Many of these sites have a hard time dealing with special German, French, Danish characters. Unfortunately there isn't much to do about it.

MP(1) will only use LAV if you select "Internal DirectShow player" as music output, but then you lose gapless playback.
