Foxtel IQ and MP (1 Viewer)

Hi.

I rang Optus today to sign up for cable TV and for 12 months they are offering a free IQ. I don't really need it as I am using MP but I am thinking if it is free, why not.
My question is am I still able to watch cable TV though the MP and also record using MP. I.e. is there an output on the IQ that can plug into the capture card on the PC or is it all just too hard and should I stick with the normal digital set top box they provide?

If you have a analog H/W capture card than you can connect the IQ to the AV in connectors.

If you have a MCE remote, then you can use the blaster to change channels on the IQ (some oter remote blasters can do the same)

Thanks Peter. A mate of mine bought the uiart (I think that is right) to blast to his foxtel set top box. Do you recommend this for the IQ?
