While it looks like a DirectX problem, have you tried a different skin and a clean install of MP (remove MP directory before installing again)?

Otherwise try and find a way of repairing the DX install.

Yes, I tried different skins, and I also reinstalled completely Windows XP SP2 and Media Portal 0.2 but the same problem occurs. I would guess this is a bug due to my on-board graphic card (Radeon 9100 IGP) and DirectX but, unfortunately, I cannot dig any further

Hum... Maybe an old PCI one but that's all. In fact, my box is an ASUS Pundit-R and doesn't have any AGP (or PCI-Express) port :(

Thanks for your time BTW

    Pundit ATI Issues

    Hi

I also have a Pundit-R and a right royal pain in the... it is.

I have had some success resolving my video playback/record issues using these alternative drivers:

    http://www.omegadrivers.net/ati/win2k_xp.php

Now be warned I have a Hauppauge PVR-2 USB and the remote stopped working with these drivers installed however yours might not.

I have noticed with these drivers installed you need to select the Intervideo Non CCS video decoder for Hauppauge to get things running smooth.

    Hope this helps :D
