Freeze on "starting plugins..." (1 Viewer)

Hi everyone,

I've already started a thread in my own language about this problem. So when you're german, you can answere here.

I've installed and tried MP 1.4.0 with OnlineVideos 1.6.1.0.
After a few minutes it usually crashes (to be exactly: It freezes ... the gui freezes, the video (if running) keeps running and after the video has ended MP closes immediately.).
But that's not the major problem: If crashed or not, after closing MP I cannot start it again. It freezes on "starting plugins..." (or an equivalent translatiion for "Starte Plugins...").

Meanwhile the problem has been solved in the german support forum:
Switching the Music Player from BASS to DS stops the freezes at startup.

Yeah... Read logs, and no errors, just a stall when loading BASS....
Strange.... @hwahrmann...?
