In my Mediaportal I very offen have freezing problems. The menu, music folder or photolist freez in 1-2 sec randomly.
My spec is:

MediaPortal Version: 1.0.2.0.
Windows Version: Microsoft XP Media Center Edition. Service Pack 3
CPU Type: AMD Athlon 64 +3200, 2.0 Ghz
HDD: SATA150
Memory: 1024 MB PC3200
Video Card: Onbord - ATI Radeon Xpress 200

Are my spec okay or is my HTC to small?

When Mediaportal is open and I play a song, my HTC use about 600 MB memory and about 10-30% CPU.

What can the problem be?

Best regards,
Steffan

    Hi.
From what I can find, your GPU is OK (DirectX9 comp.). Make sure to assign at least 128 MB to (I really recommend 256).

Might be other things giving you a headache - but we probably need a crystal ball or logs to know more :D

    Hi,

    Thanks for respons.

Okay so my GPU are maybe to small. In Sisoftware my GPU is a 64 MB but i cannot confirm this on the internet. Before Medieportal can run smooth, must i have a GPU with 128 or 256 MB?

My GPU is a ATI Radeon Xpress X300 and my GPU chipset is ATI Radeon Xpress 200.

I have uploaded a log into this tread. Hope someone will look into it. Thanks alot.

    My Medieportal log write this:

Card name: ATI Radeon Xpress Series
    Manufacturer: ATI Technologies Inc.
Chip type: ATI Radeon Xpress Series (0x5974)
    DAC type: Internal DAC(400MHz)
    Display Memory: 256.0 MB

So thats tell me that my GFX card have 256 MB? So my GPU are OK for Medieportal?

    Hi.
If I'm not mistaking, your GFX is integrated (IGP). This mean that you should be able to set the amount of (system) memory it uses - probably only in BIOS, though.

EDIT: Auch.. didn't read last post:D
