Fresh Install: Exception Error (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I have just installed MP2RC1 and after completing the Setup Wizard successfully, I try to run the Media Portal program and recieve an exception error.

MediaPortal.exe - Common Language Runtime Debugging Services
Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.

Process id-0xc20 (3104), Thread id=oxc24(3108)

Any ideas what would be causing this?

Hi Greg,

There isn't much useful info in the error message. Perhaps any error in the log\MediaPortal.log or any other logfile in the log directory?
If not, the only way to find out what's wrong is to attach a debugger to the mediaportal.exe process at the moment this error occurs and do a backtrace. This isn't very easy, though.

This morning, I wanted to start my HTPC and i didn't install, change or delete anything, and since this morning MedaiPortal produces the same Error. in the last months, everything worked fine, and suddenly it doesnt work anymore. i can't understand it.

i have an Asus Pundit-R
Leadtek PVR2000
XP SP2
All Software installed and up-to-date

im trying to install .NET SDK and make a backtrace...
