fresh install with .net 2.0 not possible ?! (1 Viewer)

I'm not using the install template for this issue because it's not hardware specific.

I'm trying to do a fresh install of Mediaportal and read I needed .net framework 2.0
I got a super clean setup of all the stuff needed, made a disk image and started the mediaportal installation (version 0.2.0rc1)
It tells me I need a version 1 release of the framework.

I want to run the CVS update over my rc1 install, do I really need to downgrade the .net release or is there a way around this?

Please advice, thanks in advance..

Hi,

Just install both frameworks, they can coexist.

Kind regards,
Michel
I'm having the same prob on my sisters PC. When trying to install MP, it prompted me that I needed .NET 1.1.??? and I mistakenly installed .NET 2.0 thinking that would be okay, but I get the same warning. When I try to install .NET 1.1 via Windows Update, it fails to install it for some reason. I've tired uninstalling 2.0, but it won't unistall (comes up with an error) and wont go to an earlier restore either. If they do indeed coexist, do you have to install it a special way for it to install?

but first you need windows installer 3.0...

no wait, you need service pack 3 to install that...
