according to your log you have entered the ip of your box into setup screen. I did the same because the hostname resolution for fritz.box is not working for whatever reason.
Even if he has fritz.box entered as address, the log is displaying the resolved IP which the TCPclient is connected to.

Nevertheless, I changed the text for the initial address and port test once more a bit to make things more clear.

After looking at the source code i saw that the hostname (fritz.box) as well as the port (1012) is hardcoded. So entering these values in setup has no effect.
I am 100% sure those settings are not hardcoded.
Why came you to the idea? Where did you found it in source code?

Maybe this points you in the right direction

    thx in advanced
sorry but I am still not sure what is going wrong on your side. I keep having a look at the issue.
Could you please try a clean mp installation for testing again? (Keep your current settings and config by renaming the config and installation dir, so you are able to get it back after test)
Do you have any firewall active, if so could you test with disabling those?

Sorry that I only can guess what it could be, but it's hard to find an issue in the code, if it is working for others, including me.

hey, no problem ... I'm glad you try to fix my error.

I'll try this, no time for that until Friday, so my answer takes some time.

    thx and cu

    Hi Chefkoch,

Forget about what i wrote. I'm not familiar with C#, so i only saw the declaration of address and port with their default values,
but i did not find the setup values assigned to these vars (now i do). So my conclusion was wrong.
For me the hostname resolution is not working and entering the ip doesn't work either (tried your latest Fritzbox.dll).
Only way to make it work for me is editing the hosts file.

    regards,

    ray

    Hey Chefkoch!

Can't believe it ... but by using fritz.box instead of the IP (address of the FritzBox) the plugin works like a charm again. :D

Hehe, sometimes it is so easy ...

    thx again for your help
