Fullscreen TV black, but "preview" works on Vista (1 Viewer)

I tried your suggestion but it ddn't work. I tried to go Fullscreen while I'm not in MyTV but the Main Menu screen is so large that i can't see the whole screen. Is there a resizing issue I am not aware off?

For me, changing the resolution from 800x600 to 720x576 and setting the timing to 100Hz was the solution.

I figured out the problem. Since I've connected my computer to my TV I have to leave at a 1080 resolution. When I increased the dpi it made MP main screen/menu every large. Apprently there is a setting in the properties of the shortcut where you can enable or disable the computers resolution setting. This did the trick for me.

I got this problem after changing the sorting of TV, Video, DVD... in my home plugin within MP configuration.exe.
Now switching TV to fullscreen mode results in black screen
Disabling the vrm9 exclusive mode takes no effect.

Any idea?

The problem is that I cannot remember the original order in my home plugin...

Thx for your solutions, the second worked for me. But now i've got another smaller problem. The problem is that when I hover with the mouse over the preview window in the TV-section it gets a green background.

But it works again!

hi some possibilities for you:

1. i had something similar yesterday on my mp-system in myvideos when trying to watch movies in fullscreen with "normal" aspect ratio. i had 800x600 resolution on my machine. after i changed it to 720x576 there everything was ok. perhaps you could try.

2. then you also could try to disable directx exclusive mode and look what happens

3. on irc kuerbis told me that: start tv & timeshift --> go to Settings, Screen Calib., Screencalib. --> go through the stepps here (don´t change anything) --> go back to tv

The problem is this;
If I watch on my HTPC (running Vista 32 bit and using Microsoft included MPEG-2 decoder for video) I see TV when in the first TV screen (small picture). But when I switch to fullscreen TV i get no picture just black.

Im having something similar to that problem. Im running on windows XP with Hauppauge pvr500 dual tuner. I can watch the little TV screen with no problem. But when i switch to fullscreen it just go black, the sound is still there. When i toggle out of fullscreen the TV is shown fine in the little screen again.
If i disable TV i get an error message "My TV: Recorder are in use". If i turn the TV back on it functions perfect in both fullscreen and little screen. I cant seem to find a solution for my problem please help.

Problem solved.... I think it was the 120pdi font that needs to be 92 dpi... but i did install some new Hauppauge driver as well.
