Fullscreen TV problems after resume (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I´m using MP as TV mainly, so I need to work it perfectly. But I have problems with fullscreen TV to continue after resume. How it works:

I have live TV with fullscreen and press power button on my remote. PC shut down in a few secs to S3 sleep mode (everything is off, except RAM which holds last state). I´m not using Powersheduler plugin or something like that - simply I set power management in Win7 to go to sleep mode, when power button is pressed. It´s everything what I need.

When I press power button again, after a few secs PC run from point, where I switched it off. BUT, I´m expecting live TV in fullscreen, which ocuurs only at some time. Mostly it shows basic TV screen (with menu od left side and small TV window on right side) or full size EPG screen - both without TV ON. So there is need to navigate to full screen TV and let it switch ON.

I don´t know what can cause this - I tried many settings from various part of MP, but with no luck. Sometimes it was better (more times worked right), sometimes it was worse (less times worked right).

It looks like a MP GUI is faster than TV service, so TV can´t be on when MP shows fullscren. But why it sometimes work?

So please help. I like MP and this is one and only problem. But problem, which make me crazy, because I have GF who is using HTPC too

Here is log taken right after the resume, when fullscreen TV didn´t work properly. It was collected manually, because I have no luck to get error, when I´m trying it in debug mode (the reason is that problem occurs randomly and mostly after a longer sleep time).

The chances are the TV card drivers have not fully reinitialised after there resume, mine can take 15-20 seconds before I can switch to TV.

If u want this scenario to happen:

1. Enter standby while TV channel is running either fullscreen or in tvhome.
2. Resume HTPC and it will automatically bring back fullscreen TV on the last viewed channel.

Then you need to enable a few settings in mp config.
show last active module

Paranoid: Thanks. Yes, it was one of my thoughts. I tried 5 - 10 seconds, but maybye it is too low. I´ll try 15-20, but if it helps, I think I don´t want to wait so long for HTPC startup :/ And I´m thinking about this - if it is this reason, why it sometimes starts correctly? If some of TV card (or all of them) need long time to initialise, so it would never startup properly, am I right?

gibman: Thanks, but all that settings I have truned on of course. There is problem that it sometimes didn´t work after resume.

I know this is very old thread, but I still have this issue, even with the latest MP version. Anyone have or had the same issue? Please help!
