    it's a little black box on a shelf, connected to a 32" analog TV, in a cramped living space ... not much to look at :ROFLMAO: ... doesn't even have a light on it to let you know it's running. o_O

    running a test overnight to see if I made the right changes. I resat all my components in there sockets, and double checked all the connections, swapped my memory modules just in case and turned off auto MS update. I hate waiting .... :sleep:

    I don't know why, but several programs keep getting the "unknown publisher" notification... MediaPortal Configuration is one ... and MP-Tray keeps getting stopped when using the green button.. settings are correct though.

    None of my other installations have such problems.

    Well.... the system threw an IRQ error and pooped a BSOD mid evening while trying to copy some files, On reboot it ran ckdsk,

    then I just deleted the screwed folder files, tried it again with no problems... but it has run well since (all night, in fact).

    Now I'm running MP 1.5 and playing one channel from the TV-server, to see if it burps, or how long it goes without.

    I'll see what I can do about that... gotta find the dump file ... won't be for a while, though, ... later tonight.
    Start WatchDog, select option 3, collect the logs and post them here ;)
    System eventlogs will be included so we can look @ the BSODs also.

    here be the logs ...

    I installed MP several times, trying to find that "sweet spot" ... many user-files (skins, dbs, settings, thumbs and backdrops) were copied from a working system, after plugins/extensions were installed.

    Had a quick peak. Seems the last crash from MP was on 22-1
    "Application: MediaPortal.exe
    Framework Version: v4.0.30319
    Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception.
    Exception Info: System.AccessViolationException

    at MediaPortal.GUI.Library.DXNative.FontEngineRemoveTexture(Int32)
    at MediaPortal.GUI.Library.DXNative.FontEngineRemoveTextureSync(Int32)
    at MediaPortal.guilib.TextureFrame.DisposeUnmanagedResources()
    at MediaPortal.guilib.TextureFrame.DisposeInternal()
    at MediaPortal.guilib.TextureFrame.Finalize()
    "
    Which should be fixed in 1.7 Pre Release >> https://issues.team-mediaportal.com/browse/MP1-4307

    And now to the BSODs:
    The description for Event ID '1073742825' in Source 'BugCheck' cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display the message, or you may not have permission to access them. The following information is part of the event:'0x0000001e (0xffffffffc0000005, 0xfffff80002cc008a, 0x0000000000000000, 0xffffffffffffffff)', 'C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP', '022414-15693-01'
    Open a command prompt and type this:
    sfc /scannow

    That should check your system files for errors.

    Is there any info visible on the bottom of the screen when you get the BSOD? Do you happen to see a notification of 'ndis.sys'?
    From the first impression it seems driver related, so double check that (Chipset / Network included)
