Fwd/Back Skip not responsive on video playback (1 Viewer)

I've just installed MP 1.30 on a Windows 7 system with an MCE remote (I was previously running v1.2.2). When playing back video I often use the cursor right/left buttons on the remote to skip backwards or forwards. Since I installed v1.30 I've noticed that the video player isn't very responsive to the left/right cursor buttons. Sometimes it doesn't respond at all, and other times it does so after quite a long delay.
Has anyone else had problems with this functionality?

Not sure if this is part of your problem. I find the default "skip delay" = 1500 milliseconds (1.5 sec) too long and reduce it to 500 or so. Maybe modifying this setting will help. See wiki, this in expert mode
