I have to chime in... I posted about disabling CnQ quite a ways back. I'm having issue with jitter in 1080i playback on both MP 1.0.1.0 & 1.0.2.0 and have found using DXVA is no longer possible with my iGPU 7050PV. During my testing I discovered CnQ no longer degrades framerate frequency as it did before! This may be due to the TV-Server / Client setup MP now uses (I used to do a single-install under 0.2.3.0), my using the latest NVidia video driver, or something else. YES... see if CnQ is having an effect, but as for me I'm good leaving it "active."

Read my post on the 1080i judder (above) and tell me: do you experience the same 'defects' or do you see smooth playback from outside MediaPortal? We're zeroing in on a rewrite placed into MP 1.0.1.0 of how the authors are now handling video by using textures...

Well, the files that caused problems for me was some BD-rips with untouched 1080p video (both VC1 & H264) muxed in mkv and played back @60hz. They played fine in MPCHC but had ~10% dropped frames in MP using any DXVA capable codec(with or without cpp's sub engine). Tried all sorts of video drivers, codecs, settings and so on... never made it with MP but they always played fine in MPCHC.

When upgrading my onboard 8300 to a ATI 4550, the problems went away(knock on wood).

I see where you're using MP 1.0.1 now, but has this always been the case or did you see an increase in jutter/dropped frames on this release?

Honestly, I can't remember. I haven't had my BD-ROM for that long so I just recently started to back up my own discs. I'm also sorry to say that my schedule is quite busy for the moment so can't really test this thoroughly until mid June.
