Hi guys.

First I would like to say that this software looks very promising and very good.

I would love to install it and use it, however I'm coming across issues. I recently purchased the Pinnacle PCTV HD (800i) from www.woot.com. This card is a ATSC/NTSC/QAM tuner. The specs and info can be found here:

It uses the Conexant CX23883 as the decoder chip.

I tried to easily set up MP but it wouldn't detect my card. Usually I would dismiss it as "it doesn't work" but I have a feeling there are many other ways to get things to work. My problem is that I have NO IDEA how! I'm pleading for a little help or a definitive "give up" response from a developer.

Thank you, I have searched before. The reason for the new topic is that it is a brand new card.

I am no "use the search function mofo" guy at all but I really think that your answer is in these threads. Even though your card is brand-new it is "just another number in a production row" which obviously has caused trouble in installing.

I am NO expert, but have you used GraphEdit to create a graph? I'd bet a simple mod from one of the MANY Pinnacle PCTV entries would do it... but testing it in GE would be the proof.

Pinnacle 800i

Hi I have the same TV Tuner card and I am having the same problem. MP does not recognize my TV card. If you fixed it and let me know I would really appreciate it. Thank you.
