get rid of the initialization message (1 Viewer)

Hi Everyone,

Since R1.0 of MP, there are always big text messages like "Initializing Direct X ..." before the home screen comes up, while they are harmless, they make the whole thing more technical than a Home Theatre product.

Is there a way I can turn them off?

Hi there

You cannot turn the messages off.

Only user choice is whether to show the fullscreen splashscreen or the old small splashscreen.
You can toggle between then in MP Configuration; General; Use Alternative Fullscreen Splashscreen.

Thanks for the reply. I can understand that this info is important to tell the progress of the start-up and help identify any issue in case something goes wrong. Just that those big text always people it is a computer program, no harm.

I can relate to this. Perhaps there could be an option to instead just show a progress bar or something and the text "MediaPortal starting" instead. It can't be hard to code, and might make alot of people happy.
