@RoChess

Thanks, i did already delete the Titan cache folder straight after making the changes to the .xml file (as i always do out of habit when editing at code level) but still had no joy.

Not really sure what im doing wrong, surely <playedcolour> is the correct hex colour code to change for what i want to achieve?

    Each control element defined inside references.xml can be overriden, which is what MovPic is doing (had ability to view Titan skin files).

    Open, movingpictures.facade.xml and do a CTRL+F on "Movie List", you will find two matches (actually appears to be a skin bug from quick look on it), and has a <dimcolor> entry there. So try editing that one.

    Thanks, ill give that a go. It's actually doing it in Recorded TV and MyVideos as well (which I use to access home movies). I guess theres an equivalent <dimcolour> line in their xml codes as well?

    OK, so I'm a step closer to getting rid of this annoying problem. I could not get the movie titles to change colour/transparency no matter what I changed in either of the xml files, so in the end I gave up and just replaced the whole movingpictures.facade.xml file over from defaultwide and I'm now able to change the colour using the hex code.

    Just need to know which xml files I need to replace to do the same for recorded tv, tv series and videos now!

    Really starting to regret installing ajs's weather and icon patch for Titan now, I've only had these problems since installing it, and it seems uneditable!

    You can always restore the original MovPic Titan skin files otherwise, simply delete the XML files in question, and then reinstall the MovPic plugin (easy now due to MPEI support), and it will put the files back. Without deleting the XML skin files, the plugin will detect that they have a more recent datestamp and leave them alone.

    The skin files are also available on the open-source project sites. Another way is to rename the "Team MediaPortal" folders in ProgramFiles and ProgramData and then reinstall everything you care for. Then 'copy' the Titan skin folder to a safe place, delete the "Team MediaPortal" folders that were created, rename your original one back and then you can put the Titan skin files you need back. Even easier to do this is if you have access to another computer, or know somebody with the same setup as you.

    But if AJ's weather and icon patch is a proper one, then it should have made backups of the files it replaced, so you can properly 'undo' the patch.
