Getting IRSS to receive commands from Eventghost (1 Viewer)

Hey guys,

I could use some help:

I have my receiver connected to my HTPC via RS232 cable on COM port3. I use IRSS to toggle power when I press the green teletext button.

I would also like to control m receiver with the event ghost -8 so i can send power on command via my IPAD.
the problem is, that in WIN7 only one aplication can use com port at once...that means that my running IRSS prevents eventghost from using com port or viceversa.

I saw, that IRSS has the ability to receive commands /events via senDmessage function, but i dont know how to use it. I know that the event ghost can beused to send command via sendmessage...


I was also thinking of going with the simulation of keypress, but can"t seem to be able to ger IRSS to recognize keypresses? Any thoughts?

Ok ... i've been thinking about thig in another way:

i read that there is a software that comes with the IRSS called - Virtual remote. It allows one to send commands via command line. Can anyone offer any info on that program?
