I have an issue on windows xp mp box. I use multishotcut to run a jukebox application. Once loaded it goes in full screen and locks the pc down so that nyone using a party can do nothing else but play muisc. The app works fine and loads great using media portal however when you exit the app it closes but gives the focus back to windows and not media portal even though thats on screen so is xp bar at the bottom. I have looked at mpfocus but that not quite right I only need the focus to go back to media potal after the app is closed if alt-tab or click media portal it comes back but not automaticlly

nope i assumed from the title if it's always on top my program would just sit behind media portal which defeats the object. The program needs to be in front of media portal and when closed go back mp. Ill give it a go though

test and does exactly what it says in the title. app runs but behind mp front

robbo what app are you running mine is called silverjuke it's a jukebox program. It's designed for pubs as well as home use it has the ability to have a kiosk mode in which it becomes full screen and locks the pc so that you can not do clt+alt+del or any other such commands. Only what the program allows. This is how I have set when using it for parties allow people to search and queue tracks easily with out any real need to under stand the program or have much computer skills.

However I can not see why this should make any difference. When I come out of the program the windows xp bar is at the bottom, with the rest of the screen being mp but windows still has the focus

Having said I use a multishortcut plugin - I use the PDVD player plugin here.

I am not an expert, so will have to step aside and let others help.

Is there any way that you could map one of your remote keys (if you have suitable software such as intelliremote) so that it executes the mediaportal.exe file. Since only one instance will run, it should return focus to the existing MP.

    Just a thought.
