It sounds like you have MP 1.2 installed - can you confirm that? The installer should be able to parse the 1.2 version config file. Per the screen image that you sent, the installer only detected the MP 1.2 config file.

You might PM me your MP configuration log file so I can take a look at it.[DOUBLEPOST=1383489983][/DOUBLEPOST]Doh! Just realized you said this was related to MP 1.5! Sorry about that.

Please PM me your MP configuration.log file and I will see if I can find the problem.

Hi!

If there was anything to send. My configuration.log has 0 bytes, an empty file. Even after starting the config tool, it just changes the date of last use but still stays empty.

configuration.log in /oldlogs contains this:
[2013-06-23 16:37:41,595] [Config ] [Config Main] [ERROR] - PluginsNew: Argument Exception loading the image - TitanPlugin.Plugin.png, Der Wert null ist für stream ungültig.
[2013-06-23 16:37:41,647] [Config ] [Config Main] [ERROR] - PluginsNew: Argument Exception loading the image - TitanPlugin.PluginDisabled.png, Der Wert null ist für stream ungültig.

Thats it, no further data in there. And yes, MP 1.5 is up and running 24/7. Well, nearly.

The installer relies on a valid MP configuration.log in order to determine where various installed components are located. There are 2 ways to get around this:

1) reinstall MP to create a valid configuration.log file. I know - I wouldn't want to do this one either, which is why I added another option. :D

2) paste the following lines into your existing (currently 0 bytes) MP configuration.log file. You will need to adjust the paths to your actual installed paths, which can be obtained from the MP Configuration utility. Note that this is for a WindowsXP install, btu it doesn't matter - just make sure you get the paths right. Once you save the lines to the congiuration.log file, rerun the Google Calendars MSI installer.

Hey there!

I tried the second way first. First, thanks for your efffort. Second, it worked like a charm and google calendar is visible in Mediaportal displaying our family calendar :)

Hint for Win 7 users: the needed directories are found in X:\Program Files (x86) and in x:\ProgramData
x:\ of course is whatever HDD your windws/MP is installed on.

Thanks a lot thlucas :)

Sweet! I was sweating on this one, as I've never seen an MP configuration file that was empty. I wish the MP designer guys would add some HKLM registry entries with the install paths, which would allow me to get rid of parsing the MP config file. Bute that's neither here nor there.

Glad you are up and running!
