I have tried the definitions for my new Leadtek Winfast DTV1000 S posted on the forum and can't get them to work, so I think I might need to write my own. I started following the tutorial to use graphedit. However, the graph I get does not show pin numbers but rather names Should I type in the names where the numbers would otherwise be?

Hi Vur

I am having the same problem as you with my Leadtek DTV1000 S TV Card... MP 1.0.2 did not detect my card...

I have been digging around in forums and posted some support queries but all I have got in reply from forums is astounding silence so far...

Was hoping if you can help me on this issue, since you had the same card and got it to work....

My system (briefly): XP SP3, MP 1.0.2, Singlseat Installation...

So far my progress:

1. I have changed CaptuerCardDefinitions.xml found in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal to have following content.

<capturecard commercialname="Leadtek WinFast DTV1000 S" capturename="WinFast DTV1000 S BDA Digital Capture" devid="ven_1131&dev_7130&subsys_6655107d&rev_01">
<capabilities tv="true" radio="false" mpeg2="true" mce="false" sw="false" bda="true"></capabilities>
<tv>
<interface cat="capture" video="2" audio="3" mpeg2="1" sectionsandtables="5"></interface>
<filters>
<filter cat="networkprovider" name="Microsoft DVBT Network Provider" checkdevice="false"></filter>
<filter cat="tunerdevice" name="WinFast DTV1000 S BDA DVBT Tuner" checkdevice="true"></filter>
<filter cat="capture" name="WinFast DTV1000 S BDA Digital Capture" checkdevice="true"></filter>
</filters>
<connections>
<connection sourcefilter="networkprovider" sourcepin="0" sinkfilter="tunerdevice" sinkpin="0"></connection>
<connection sourcefilter="tunerdevice" sourcepin="0" sinkfilter="capture" sinkpin="0"></connection>
</connections>
</tv>
</capturecard>

You can find my other posts here: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...v1000s-detection-31430/index2.html#post577147

Do you see anything I am doing wrong??????????

Thnx in advance

Hi jforjimmy,
When I did a fresh-install of WXP a few months back I also did a fresh install of the current MP and I did not need to edit that file at all. So, apart from ensuring you have the latest, I don't know what else to suggest.

Before trying a fresh download & install, try my file which I have included as an attachment. Rather than delete yours you could change the name slightly e.g to CaptureCardDefinitionssus.xml and then paste a copy of mine.

I used to experience "astounding silences" until I heeded the forum rule to include a logfile attachment with my postings even when I thought they could not be of any use.

Good luck

p.s. scan my attachment for viruses etc. "Just because you are paranoid it doesn't mean they are not out to get you"

Hi vur,

Thanks for that......

Your capturecarddefinition.xml is exactly the same as mine....

I guess its something to do with my PC or something.... I have not been looking into it from a while cos I think its my PC cos every time I install MP there is some new error...

I will let you know if I get it working....

cheers
