Tearing still there even with vsync always on. I'm begining to think graphics card could be issue

Then there is something wrong, try different GPU drivers...

Ok think i have discovered what the problem is..... the gpu in my htpc is not upto the job or it's not working as it should.

I recreated my setup exactly on my windows 7 desktop pc. This has an ATI Radeon 4650 1GB in it and all types of video are perfect and smooth.

A couple of questions would the fact that my desktop has an intel core 2 quad processor and my htpc an amd dual core x2 matter with an upgraded graphics card?

Can someone please recommend me a card that would fit into a silverstone LC04 that can decode DTS-MA and Dolby TrueHD?

I was looking at this any thoughts? ATI HD5550 ULTIMATE 1GB DDR2 PCI-E HDMI DX11 FANLESS
