ok, 2 logs - with evr i have no screen corruption (like the videotime text misplaced) or flickering in the menus, but i have the tearing problem (i have aero disabled)
with vmr i have the described screen corruption - with fix applied.

EVR needs Aero on to work properly.

Hmm, you SHOULD be able to go with EVR and Aero on without problems. Check if your AGP aperture size is at least 128 in BIOS

UMA is set to 256 for testing - will test with sideport (128mb) + 512MB ram. hope this fixes everything

No, i switched to evr with aero enabled. dont know why but vmr9 in vista64 with my hardware seems to be broken.
